DEAR Pastor or Non-Profit Organization-CEO, As our organization grows and develops, I want to share with you a little bit about some of the people who inspired me along the way. Dr. Ron Hembree is now the President of Cornerstone Christian Television Network in Pittsburg, PA. He ran a ministry called "Good Friends" here in Arizona, where he led a small group of pastors from the Phoenix area. Some amazing "God-Things" happened at what Dr. Hembree coined "The World's most expensive free-breakfast"! The group focused on international missions, and it was there that I met two individuals that have made a huge impact on my life and my ministry. Dr. Richard Drake, the Provost of Phoenix University of Theology, and Dr. Dean Radtke, Founder & CEO of The Institute for Ministry & Management. One example of their impact is that I was on the original steering committee for developing the first "Tuition-Free" workshops, and the of the first 88 recipients to receive the CEO & Leaders Scholarship. The program is offered by The Institute for Ministry & Management, and since 2002 has graduated thousands of Pastors and Leaders. After completing the CEO Training, I became aware of the need for this professional level of training which these two great leaders offer, and want to share some more about it here with you. The following is an executive summary written by Dr. Dean Radtke, which I feel truly expresses the need for training: " The tragedy so prevalent in God's church today is that a vast majority of Pastors & Ministry Leaders are overwhelmed, frustrated, unprepared & despondent over their inability to lead change & achieve their God given mandates. Their right relationship with God & Family are suffering greatly. A shocking number quit, backslide or just marginally exist in the face of ineffectiveness. Ministry CEOs worldwide are in dire need of training that will provide the methods & systems required to lay a foundation for all God wants to accomplish through them, equipping them to reach escalating levels of ministry effectiveness. Pastors & Ministry Leaders must have the training that will keep them in their calling, capable of developing future generations of leaders for a lasting legacy."
